In addition to my studies i also play the trumpet and piano. When i was in the sixth form i was a member of several bands and orchestra, ranging form assisting in the school junior band, to playing lead trumpet in the lincolnshire youth symphony orchestra (several of the groups i was part of were set up by the lincolnshire music service). I intend to continue playing the trumpet throughout my life. I used to have piano lessons when i was very young, but now i find it fun to teach my self the pieces of music i want to play, i am a very driven and motivated person so i find this very rewarding.
Music is very important to me, i find it an excellent way to relax and get away from the stresses of studying. Furthermore, being a member of orchestras and bands provides a fantastic social life, a way to meet new people and inspire younger musicians.

I am also a member of Leicester University Ski and Snowboarding Club (LUSSC). A short term goal of mine is to have skiing lessons with this club. i am going to canada with my boyfriend and his family at easter, which will be a fantastic experience.
I have also become a mentor for TLC (tigers learning centre).this will help my application to medicine, and i also find working with children and volunteering very enjoyable and rewarding.
TLC is based at the Leicester Tigers rugby ground, and is a learning centre for children after school, to try and motivate them towards their work, and help increase their success.
here is a scanned version of the pack i was sent by TLC:
I have started having driving lessons, this will be a huge advantage as i will be able to get to work and see my friends over the summer without relying on my parents. I am having lessons withAdam Wood.
